Luut Brink

Project Manager, Control Union

Luut Brink is a Project Manager of the Canadian division of Control Union since 2012.  He works out of the Vancouver area office, where his responsibilities range from implementation of sustainable programs for the wood pellet ENplus, to Senior Marine Surveyor for coal, biomass and agriculture products, to supply chain management advice.

He has also expanded CU services with the opening and operations of a Montreal office as well as setting up Commodity Lab Vancouver.  This lab facility required him to coordinate renovations and organize the various permits as well as purchase the necessary equipment for grain and hop testing.

Prior to Control Union, Luut work for 22 years as Terminal Manager at EMO Rotterdam Coal Terminal where he improved supply-chain logistic for clients including managing and motivating employees to take responsibility to reduce costs and in turn increase customer satisfaction. Luut has also consulted for biomass producers (terrified wood pellets in the Netherlands and US) helping them to achieve improved supply chains and ensuring regulations were in place.

Luut is well trained and experienced in business management and information technology with focus on operational, QHSE (Quality, Health, Sustainability, and Environment) and logistics.  As a trained ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Luut has audited numerous companies helping them to ensure that their businesses offer complete quality to their customers.
